Irma and Nera walked up the stairs to Hay Lin's apartment while Hay Lin lead the way past all the people in the resturant. Irma, who had been there many times, ran to the fridge. She was really hungry because her mum had made her rush off to church and she hadn't had a chance for breakfast.

Nera looked round Hay Lin's apartment curiously, she followed Irma into the kitchen and stood awkwardly in the centre of the room. She wondered if it would be bad mannered to take some food before Hay Lin had offered. Unable to decide she simply stood where she was and fidgeted with the side of her skirt nervously.

"Am I allowed to eat this?" Irma asked Hay Lin holing up a bit of cake

Hay Lin giggled. "Of course!" She took the piece of cake from Irma anyway and put it on a plate, and then got some cookies out of her cookie jar and placed them on there too. She then got two more pieces of cake from the fridge and put them on the plate aswell.
Walking over to the couch where they (Hay Lin and Irma) usually sat when Irma came over, she placed the plate on the coffee table and smiled at Nera. "Well, sit down." She gestured at the comfy looking sofa. She walked back over to where she was preparing tea, and looked at Irma. It was a moment before she continued to make tea, shrugging and smiling to herself.

Nera sat down on the sofa and took a cookie from the plate on the table. "Thanks." She said to Hay Lin and took a bite.

Hay Lin turned around, holding a plate with three cups in one hand and the china kettle in the other. "Tea's ready!" She smiled and walked over to the coffee table and placed the cups down and filled them all with tea. She then put the kettle back in the kitchen and took a sugar bowl and a teaspoon over to the coffee table and put that down there too, then sat on the sofa next to Nera. She put two teaspoons of sugar in her tea and took the little blue cup in her hands and started to drink it.

Nera sipped the tea cautiously at first, but then she discovered it was delicious and drank it faster. She didn't know what to say at first so she settled on, "This tea is gorgeous, thanks." She didn't know what else she should do so she went back to drinking her tea.

Hay Lin sipped at her own tea and smiled at Nera. "Thanks. It's my Grandma's special recipe tea." She smiled, thinking that it's kinda weird having a special recipe for tea...But, her grandma was quite weird and amazing. Hay Lin looked over at Irma. Then back at Nera. She took her blue marshmellow coat off so you could see her fuschia shirt. She smiled some more. She desperately wanted Irma to do something. Irma was good at that kind of thing. She wasn't shy at all. Hay Lin thought about this. They were so different, yet that had lots in common.

"How long have you been able to do stuff with your powers?" Irma asked Nera as she picked up her tea. "Mmmmmmmm..." she said sub-conciously

"A couple of months I think. At the moment I can only do small stuff though." Said Nera taking another cookie.

(natakat: i didn't have time to put much in it. So I put that in. Don't ask. I changed it now anyway)
Hay Lin sighed. Then giggled. "Do you guys want to go hang out somewhere? Today or tomorrow is good." She put her tea down on the coffee table. "There aren't many places around here, but Irma and I haven't explored past the city much. Maybe we could go further."

"That's fine, As far as exploring goes, I've gone just about as far as the park and that's it." Nera said and racked her brain for something else to say. "Hey! I heard there was an old Elemental temple somewhere, we could go hang around, that and see if we could get in, I bet all three of us would powerful enough."

"I've never been there. That'd be cool. I wonder what's inside...." Irma pondered on the thought for a moment then shhok it off and grabbed another cookie
