Diana's nice. She treats me well. He looked unsure for a moment, then pressed on. But she can't see like you or me, or any of the other humans. He looked at Opus with his head tilted slightly. But sometimes I think she knows what's going on and where she is...

Irma saw a big wolf/dog come into the shop followed by a with light hair and strange eyes. Uh oh. Cat. Dog. I dont think this is going to end very good. No...wait. The cat acctually licked the dogs nose and the dog didn't do anything! Weird
" Im Irma" She said in response to the boy. His name was Quincy. Hmmm...Quincy...kinda weird.....but then-again so is Irma so I guess were even. Irma stopped staring at the boy because she remembered how much she hated being stared at and turned to look at the jewelry. Its all so shiny! "I'll have this one please" she said to the shopkeeper pointing to the blue necklace. Irma handed over the money and was just about to leave when she turned to quincy "Mabey I'll see you again some time. Bye."

((Other animals can't hear Quincy's thought-speak when he does it to Opus. Unless they have some special power, then I guess they can. But most can't. Opus doesn't know how to only think-speak at one person yet, so everybody that has the ability can hear her))

"Bye," Quincy replied before looking out the door. Opus had already left. I'd better go after that kitten, he thought, before she gets into trouble. He walked out the door, and looked right and left for Opus, but didn't see her. He closed his eyes and concentrated. OPUS!!! he thought-yelled at her.

Opus's head snapped up when she heard Quincy. I smell bread, Quincy. We're going to meet Diana! Come join us![/i]

Quincy ran around a bit until he spotted a bread stall and ran over to it, but didn't see Opus or the dog. Instead he saw a girl with really long blond hair. "Excuse me," he said, tapping her lightly on the shoulder. "Have you seen a black and white kitten around her, goes by the name of Opus? She might be with a golden-creamy colored dog."

Diana turned to where she heard the person's voice. "Creamy coloured? I heard people talk of Kuumee that way...My companion, Kuumee, is a dog. He gets very interested in animals other then ones like himself." She smiled, turned to where she was sure the person was now-she could hear their breathing.
Kuumee found where Diana was and ran over to her. Barking, he wagged his tail and looked over at Opus. Hey look, Quincy and Diana met eachother too! How cool!
Diana patted Kuumee on the head. "Shh, your disturbing people, Kuumee."

Irma was still thinking about Quincy and whether or not she would see him again. She wanted to just talk to him. Oh well thats not going to happen because i cant be bothered to walk down to the market EVERY day. I wonder if diana has had that dog her whole life....it must have been hard to train a wolf... Irma was getting hungry.I think I'll go to the bread shop and get a snack...mmmmm......nice warm bread...

"Opus!" Quincy shouted, picking up the little kitten and giving her a hug. She licked him on the cheek. Quincy, I'm fine. You can put me down. And this is Diana.[/b]

"Jeeze, don't scare me like that. Didn't I tell you not to run off?" Quincy put her back down and she went back over to Kummee. "So, your name is Diana? I'm Quincy, and this little kitten here is Opus."

Diana looked towards the voice. She took a step backward. "Have you heard of the Durvenda?" She wouldn't tell him that that was her name, not when he could be apart of the order trying to kill her. She found Kuumee's leash by finding where his collar was on him first, and pulled him back towards her.
Hey Opus! Does Quincy know Diana is blind? Kuumee wagged his tail. Tell him that. And also tell him to tell her that he can speak with you, and you can speak with me! She trusts anyone that has contact with me! But she might not believe you...

"My family talked about them once, but I don't really know what they do. Why?"

Quincy,[/b] Opus meowed. Quincy looked down at her. "What?" You do know that Diana doesn't know we can communicate.[/b] Quincy looked at her in confusion, then realized that Diana had probably thought he'd been talking to an imaginary person. "Oops," he said softly. "Diana, I-" And Kuumee told me to tell you to tell Diana that Kummee can speak with me, and that I can speak with you,[/b] Opus interrupted.

Quincy counted on his fingers, trying to figure out what Opus meant. When he did, he took a deep breath and said "Opus told me to tell you that Kuumee told her to tell me to tell you that Kummee can speak with Opus, and Opus can speak with me. You understand?"

Oh, and she's blind.[/i]

"She doesn't look blind," Quincy said to Opus and himself. "Really, you're blind?" he asked Diana, trying not to sound rude.

Diana paused for a moment then started to laugh. She bent over, trying to stop, but she couldn't help it. Finally, when it died away, she stood up again. "You sure do speak a lot. You couldn't be part of the Durvenda." She smiled. "Yes, I am blind."

Quincy laughed with her. "What are the Durvenda? I was sort of eavesdropping when I heard them talking about it, so I don't know much. Only they didn't seem too happy about them, so I don't think they're very good."

"Oh, well, quite simply they are evil people intent on destroying the whole magical race." She petted Koomi. "Talk about throwing off the Earth's balance...they won't see sense. They think that Carusha was right, that they should kill all the other magical users...except for the fact that Carusha was magical and they are not." She laughed dryly. "Point that out to them sometime, and they'll kill you."
