Minika heard him say Melaney.
That's my human name she thought.
Then She got another memory

"Mel i have to leave in a couple of weeks" The figure said
"why. how long will you be?" She asked
"a long, long time." He replied
"Jakob please don't go" She replied

"Jakob" whispered Minika

He was in the present now. But he still felt like he was in the past. Deja vu.
"I have to go." He looked up at her. He was remembering, remembering everything.
Melaney had been his friend since Primary school. They grew up together, living near eachother. In High school they were still best friends. But around when she was 16, he 17, he went out one night. He was on his way to the hill, the very same hill they were sitting on now. And then it happened. A vampire got him. He did go home...That's why he had to leave. He was dangerous. He almost killed his mum and dad. He told them that he was going to get his own house. Then he went and met her on the hill again. He looked different. She could tell. She didn't know, though.
He had to go. He was dangerous.
The pocket watch...it never worked after he changed. It was frozen in time, just like him.
"Do you have the pocket watch?" Ketsueki, Jakob, whispered.

Minika was scared because know she knew how she became a vampire. Jakob was her best friend and about when she was 14 she fell in love with him. He changed different though. Jakob had to leave her because he said he would hurt her. Minika was heart broken when she found out he had to go. She went the long way home. Down an ally way when some grabbed her bit her on the neck. The Next thing shes Minika and cant remember a single thing. All she has is a pocket watch with no meaning.

"yes, yes i do," Minika said. she pulled it out of her pocket to show him. Know she was really scared.

"I think..." He put his hand on top of the pocket watch, on her hand. "The same vampire got you, the one that got me? I'm not perfectly sure...But I remember now. He was going to kill everyone. Everyone I knew. Which is why I went away. And I, I was going to kill everyone." He remained quite calm, but he was sad, angry still. "So how did he get you? I thought I was protecting you. From both of us."

At this point she relised it was Jakob and why he had to leave.
"I was heart broken that i might not have ever see you again. So i took the long way home. I went through the ally way when someone grabbed me. He bit my neck...and....well.....i turned." Minika told him.
"I've been trying to remember what had happened but nothing came. Nothing made any sense till tonight." She said.

Again, he sat down. He looked up her, wanting her to sit down to.
He half-heartedly smiled. "I remember...we wanted to finish High school, and go to college together. And maybe live together..." He looked at her. "And we really liked eachother. But we can't...we can't do anything now, now that we're Vampires." He smiled some more, though. "The upside is...We can be together forever..."

Minika sat down next to him.
She took his hand and softly kissed him on the lips.
"I've missed you so much" she said
she laughed.
"i can't believe that we found each other."
