Luris was sitting on a log that had fallen in the surrouding forest of the meadow. She had moved it closer to the middle of the meadow, and she was now sitting down comfortably. It was a cold day, but that was to be expected - it was winter. Her wings unfurled from behind her back, and wrapped around her. She patted the soft feathers, wondering how she came to have these wings. She didn't remember.

Anika slowly walked through the forest, into the meadow
finally she thought to herself some clear place to walk
"Wow" she murmered to herself
She saw a girl sat on the log in the middle of the meadow, quitetly opening her wings, and patting the feathers gently.

Luris stopped patting her wings when she saw the other girl that had just walked into the meadow. She furled them into her back again, but it was too late, and she was sure this girl had seen them.
"Ah, fuck." She said quietly.
Just then, she realised it didn't matter. She could tell this girl was magical too. Luris stood up from her log, her wings unfurling, and she waved. "Hello!" She said, loud enough for the girl to hear her.

Anika was shocked enough by the wings, though she probably shouldnt have been because she had seen magical people before.
"Ah, fuck" she heard the girl say to herself
and then more loudly "Hello!" the angel type girl said, waving
Anika was struck by this girls boldness and immediatly turned invisible.

Luris watched the girl...and then...where'd she go?
Luris sat down on her log again. For all she knew, the girl just teleported somewhere.
Oh. Luris was about to stand up again, but thought better of it. She tried to make herself look as unitimidating as possible.
She could sense her. The girl. She had scared her off, although the fact that Luris was picking up on her emotions meant that she was still in the meadow, just invisible. Luris sighed and furled her wings up again. She was, she'd admit, a little scary, in her own way...she could tell she just worried the girl. Poor thing. She looked barely 12, now that Luris thought about it. She had to stop doing that.

The girl looked a little sad that she had scared Anika off
Maybe she isnt going to do anything bad after all... She thought slowly becoming visible again cautiously as the other girl sat down again

Luris sensed another emotion. Unsurity. She slowly looked up to see the girl standing there. Visible. She waved slowly. "Hi. You're back. Great! Um..."
Luris didn't know how to not be...boisterous. It was just how she was. Not that she'd ever admit that to anyone. She decided on being quiet for now, although even that was difficult.

"Um yeah, sorry about that" Anika said with a laugh, trying to pass it off as a joke "You just scared me a little. So um, where can i get some wings like yours?"
It is easier to accept things when its a joke She thought grimly

Luris laughed, too. A bit too loudly, so she shut up again. She didn't want to scare the girl off. She had just started talking!
"I don't know. I 'spose some really magic person could make you some. Not likely though." She smiled and laughed quieter-ly. "I don't remember much about my wings! Well, I don't remember much about anything."
Huh. This girl is...weird. Luris was gathering information about the girl, using her power. She couldn't get very much, like always, but she did get a weird sense about her, like the girl had a strange personality.
"So...what's ya name?" Luris asked, confused but hiding it.

"I'm Anika" she replied to the girls question "But most people are scared of me so yeah" she added scratching her head trying to remember why they are so scared.
She doesn't seem that scared...cool, we might get along..
"Whats your name?" She asked with more confidence taking a few steps closer

Luris stood up. "I'm...!" She tilted her head completely sideways for a moment. "Luris!" Her neck straightened. People scared of her?! It's probably got to do with the weird personality I'm sensing. Hopefully she's not dangerous! But I'd be able to tell.
"I feel like flying, but I don't want to leave you here." A lightbulb went on in her head. "Hey! I know! How powerful is your magic? Can you make yourself fly?!"

Anika giggled.
Luris looked extreamly funny with her head tilted to the side like that.
Anika gave a start when she heard the suggestion
"I've never thought about that, it is pretty powerful I guess..." she got some flamey, blue magic in her hand and destroyed a tree nearby for emphasis
She grinned at the girl
"Yeah i might be able to!"

Luris blinked, and smiled slightly. Okay, so she was powerful. Very powerful. And dangerous. She just destroyed a tree! Oh, well, Luris wasn't afraid of her...she was just...12?...and...powerful. Ah. But, Luris realised, she would be able to tell if she planned to attack her. Right now, all Luris sensed was excitement and...the weird personality.

Anika laughed at her expression haha oops. i think i shocked her a bit...
She looked at Luris and then decided to test out her magic...
Anika put all of her concentration into the magic building up in her hands, she let it cover herself completly, and she started to hover a few feet off of the ground and the bluish glow faded until she looked reletivly normal....for someone floating.

"Hey, cool!" Luris hid her shock and unfurled her wings, and shot up into the air. "Can you follow?" She called down from higher up. She laughed. This was going to be fun.
