Back when the Elders were still just small cubs, some not even born yet, there was huge fighting. There were no packs back then. Just African Painted dogs all over the place. Each one staked out a small bit of territory, but it was never enough to feed even one dog, let alone their mate and pups. So they hunted on each other's territory. This lead to fighting. No one could go anywhere without seeing paw prints in the soil, stained red with blood.
Finally, two leaders arose. They gathered others together. After a while there were two big groups. Only a few loners roamed. The devided up the land so there was enough for two groups to find enough food.
One pack took most of the forest and just a litle savanna. They decided to call themselves the Arbol Pack.
The other pack took most of the savanna and just a little forest. The decided to call themselves the Graes Pack.
They haven't bothered each other and for many four-seasons they have lived peacefully...
Untill now.
Both the packs have grown to the point where they can hardly survive on the land they have. They have started hunting in the loner lands, though they aren't allowed to interact with the loners. The loners have gotten angry and started to attack pack members they find on their land.
Finally a member of the Graes Pack went gone to hunt in the Arbol's land. He got caught and a great fight broke out.
Both packs are furious at the other.
Both are about ready to attack and kill the other.
Once more, paw prints are stained red with blood.
